When an average guy make up one's mind getting a digital camera for themselves and directly go to shop in the market place and they find different types of cameras price range starts from 100 to 1000’s of dollars. Especially when most of us not professional in the beginning it is very difficult to choose what to get what to reject. It’s a good idea to acquire some knowledge about types then go out for hunting, by keeping our need in our mind and the size of our pockets.



1. Ultra Compact
The smaller available is ultra compact, so for the people like to carry light weigh gadgets must suit them. Not difficult to use and can capture good quality pictures with some fine tuning or manual adjustments. Usually these types of cameras have lesser quantity of effective px (pixels) and lesser features in comparison to compact cameras, but surely does a pretty good job must be sufficient for an average use.

Advances cameras also called Prosumer digital cameras mainly aimed for professional photographers having skills. Came with high quality advanced lens and manually controlled features for creative mastery. They are lesser on the moderate side but more to high priced cameras.

4. Digital Single Lens Reflex
Digital Single Lens Reflex or DSLR are the best kind of digital cameras available. They have high & advanced quality optics, capture images at very high resolution images, and capable of having very high optical zooming. They also compatible with interchangeable lenses and other sophisticated add-ons.
DSLR cameras capable of manual & automatic function.
They are very heavy priced and are suitable for professional.

5. Micro Four Thirds
Micro Four Third cameras were invented or brought in the market place by Panasonic. Technology is pretty similar DSLR type, but miss out the optical viewfinders & reflex mirrors. They are compact than DSLR cameras but have large sensors and conciliate interchangeable lenses like DSLRs.
They are moderate to high priced.
